My name is Michael Costa and I am a lifestyle photographer based out of Mississauga, Canada. I believe that every project should not only result in quality work but also in great interactions and relationships.
I attended Sheridan College and graduated from their fundamentals of film, television and print media program. My full intention was to find my part in the film industry but that changed shortly after attending a photography class in my second semester. I learned of the impact that photography can have on people from being intimate and personal to having a global and political impact. So after completing my program I decided to veer off of film and television to focus my full efforts on photography.
I have since been nominated for a Mississauga Arts Award (MARTYs) for my work on the “In My Head” Project within the digital arts emerging category. I have worked with brands and local businesses such as Lost Craft brewery, Noir Label, MidPine Collective, Nise Tech, Junked Food Company and ATA. My involvement has ranged from shooting images & video, pitching original concepts to support the brands yearly/seasonal initiatives, and locating models/MUAs that support their vision.
